Ode style 2 archtop as new 1964

Can any member advise me im looking at an ode style 2 archtophes asking 1000 dollars is that a decent price thanks

State side that would be two to three hundred high. 5 string or tenor makes a difference. Baldwin or Baldwin ode. would be after mid 1966. If it has a hole in the bottom or the neck heel it would be 1978 or later.

Don't know how prices there compare to here. They are a good banjo. and if you like it go for it, or make an offer.

ODE 64. State of the art, in many ways even today. Offer less than 1k and see what happens

Good finished fretted 5-string necks are available on line

Go to a local pawn shop and look for some vintage(d) rigs, like 11” tenors and such

Search out a local cabinetmaker or banjo enthusiast to build you a new rim from Irish Oak or other appropriate hardwood
For about half that money

You get a hardware set from the old banjo

Pete and Peggy Seeger both did this and got longnecks to boot
