Hello, dear banjo friends!
I need some western cowgirl clothes for my banjo show in a new cowboy saloon in my city, I was invited to work there!
But there's no cowboy and cowgirl clothes here in my country... I need a cowgirl boots, hat, a shirt and maybe a bolo tie would look great .. ) I have not much money, maybe you could help me to find a cheap clothes that I could buy anyhow? Thank you!
Large retail and online stores... bootbarn.com ..clothes and boots and hats and accessories. A starting point, not sure about "authentic" though or international delivery? Brad
You might look online at some of the thrift shops. Clothing should be very inexpensive there. Don't know about shipping to your country, though, that might be expensive.
Hope you find what you need.
Do you want to look like a cowgirl who works with actual cattle?Or do you want to look like a cowgirl in an elaborate movie costume?
But you would halfta be in the States...
Hope you find what you lookin for.... :0)
Janna lives and works out of Tashkent. Ponder this from her POV.
I suggest online costume suppliers.
Boots, hat, belt and buckle , blue jeans and a button down collared checker plaid or Aztec-like print shirt would finish off an easy outfit from a second-hand (pre-owned or used) clothing store.
Stetlers Outfitters has a lot on line, can't speak for their prices.
Congratulations on the gig!
Do you sew? If so, you could buy some fringe and add it to something you already have. You could buy a white skirt and paint it with fabric paints. (I'd stay away from Square Dancing skirts due to expense and the space they hog up.) Cowgirl boots can be expensive if you don't find them in a second hand store. You can make your own spats that look like cowboy boots and slip them over your regular shoes. Lots more comfortable and less expensive. A cowgirl hat is also expensive. You could felt your own, but I doubt it would be cheaper. Roving isn't that economical. I am sooooo excited for you! Post pictures!
I need to look like modern cowgirl on the stage for the banjo show in cowboy saloon. Saloon named "Cowboy Jack" , I'm very excited that finally my music is suitable for working on public in my city. To work as a banjo player and play on stage in Cowboy Saloon - it's fantastic for me)) Thanks friends , I hope I could find any outfit for my banjo performances)

Maybe it's just me, but I don't recall any cowboys riding off into the sunset playing their banjos......
Ask your employer if they can let you wear one of their outfits, that is, if they provide them to their employees.
I like Mander's idea of making your own outfit by sewing, gluing, whatever onto clothes you already have.
As long as you can get boots and a hat, anything in between will fit in .
