Hi,
I recently ordered a Blue Snowball iCE microphone. I just wanted to test it out, so here is a recording of Sally Ann

Good decision on the Snowball. Had one for years and still love it. I use Audacity to record right at my desk.

Nice Sally Ann, thanks for posting.

I use Audacity also. Remember that if you add instruments/tracks, they each will need to be aligned (timewise) with the preceding master track. All computers have a tiny time lag in recording, so even if you play along perfectly with what you hear, the 2nd track will still be a little slow, off the beat, compared to the 1st one. It's easy to align, you can slide the whole 2nd track along till it all sounds right. I always back up my work before sliding, just in case I get it so goofed up I can't get it back to the original misalignment :-)

You can check and set the recording latency of Audacity (or any DAW) to automatically align the tracks.
