I was given an American Princess banjo (SN 19086) that is in rough shape - missing a few parts (1 shoe, 5 hooks, six nuts) and would like to replace them. I can't find anything on the internet that has this setup - there are 38 sets of hooks/nuts, with an alternating pattern of shoe/hook/nut (large/small) sizes (see pictures). Does anyone know of a source for the missing pieces?

All of the brackets with the slot head screw were added later and are not SSS or original to the banjo.

Thanks - I thought something was strange about it.

You could remove all the extra added parts?

As the brackets are significantly closer to each other than any S.S. Stewart I can remember, I wonder if the brackets were doubled, that is holes drilled between the original brackets to accommodate twice as many.

I'm certain that someone added shoes, hooks, and nuts between the originals. That would explain the alternating pattern.
