Placed an order over a week ago from Sullivan/FQMS for a Kershner tailpiece. Still have not received any sort of confirmation email. I have attempted to contact them multiple times to no avail.

 Thinking of asking PayPal for a refund.

A legit business....?

Yes, Eric Sullivan runs a solid, "legit" business. I have purchased parts, strings, etc...from them for years, never had a problem. Sometimes they have been slow on emails.

Right now they are moving from Louisville, KY to somewhere in Alabama, see the attached link.

I placed an order in late November 2019 and had no problems. The emails showed up instantly, I assumed they were automated.

If you haven't gotten an email I would reach out to them. They have a phone number listed on the website, why not just call?

Some older posts on here made me think they maybe have gone under. I've tried every email address I've found for them and zero response. Not being in the States I wanted to avoid long distance phone calls. But I'll call them to see what's up. It usually doesn't take more than a week for the avg web business to process orders of in stock parts, from experience.

FQMS has always been top-notch. If you didn't get a confirmation email then it sounds like there might have been a website or spam filter issue.

I agree with Steven, give them a call. The website shouldn't be affected by the move to Alabama but it might complicate communications a bit.

If they are in the middle of a move that may impact their communication capabilities. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try calling. They are a company normally held in pretty high regard.

I talked to Eric a few weeks ago and he or Marsha (I believe that was her name) always answers the phone. (502) 365-5022. Great people to talk to but have not used their email.

Just got off the phone with Eric. Great guy! Email spam filter issue. Everything is good with my order..plus we got to chat some Ralph Stanley for about 20 minutes! They've won me over .

Of course Sullivan Banjo is legit and Eric is one of the finest, most honest people that you'll meet. He just moved the whole operation to Alabama from Louisville, but that has not slowed them down. I recently ordered an bunch of metal parts from them and they were on my door step within a week. I'm sure they'll be there soon, don't worry!!

I am a satisfied customer of First Quality, and I consider them legit although not perfect. I ordered via PHONE and backed it up with email. Was your order by private email, or from their own website contact form? I trust email less and less now, going in both directions. Damn spam filters are too hit and miss.

When he announced this a couple months back he also said ,he had to move there and build the shop,so he will need some time to really get back to the daily grind. I hope it gets back like it was. I have been through a lot of sullivan parts for decades

I also ordered a Kershner tailpiece last week from FQMS.  I spoke to Marsha yesterday.  She told me they ran out of Kershners and have ordered more and will ship as soon as they arrive.  She offered to refund my order.  I told I would wait for the shipment.  As the others have said, FQMS is top notch.

Yep, I had seen much older posts and thought maybe they were no longer in operation, after I had placed my order online. Gave them a call and all is well! Thanks again everyone for chiming in. Eric seems like a very nice guy, to boot!
