I've been listening to some radio transcriptions of the Arthur Smith show with Don Reno on the banjo....good stuff for sure......can anybody help me with the time period(s) that Don picked with Arthur?....thanks

seems to me it was in and maybe all through the 50s the most. They wrote a lot of stuff together. Jason Skinner could give you the ball of wax on Don Reno and Artur Smith....check him out he's a member and hes on my friends list for a quick check.

Reno played for Arthur Smith in the early 40's before he centered the service. Then he later rejoined Smith's band, working from mid-1952 to mid 1955.

Danny, they did a really great album, I guess in the late 70s, maybe 1989 or so? Think it was calling “Feuding Again”, I used to have it. Mostly pop songs, fantastic picking. Don’t know if it’s still available or what format, but I’m sure you’d enjoy it. I recall the cover had Don with a fancy Stelling and Arthur with a Martin.
