A great time had by one and all this past weekend at the 33rd annual bluegrass festival in Blythe, California, hard by the banks of the lower Colorado River.  It's my third time there and the jamming was excellent - wore my fingers out! Headliners Kenny and Amanda Smith were their usual wonderful selves. Greg Blake, Appalachian Roadshow , Bluegrass Patriots and others rounded out the lineup.

Wow Chuck, havent thought of those in decades. I was there in the early or mid 1970s. During one of our 4x4 adventures. We used to base at Joshua Tree, and just TAKE OFF. Some times north to Death Valley, sometimes towards Southern Nevada or Arizona. We " discovered " the Intaglios not intentionally. Just exploring. Saw a notation on the map and decided to see what was going on. Didnt spend a lot of time there, but enough to be surprised, impressed and thoughtful about the people who did them
