yes to the Tigers.  wink.      no to whoever decides that we need 4.25 hours for a football game.   I don't really "follow" NCAA football, but I can see myself doing even less if  it's gonna be 4.25 hours [though I suspect my stance means diddly-squat].  And the devotion to superlatives and excess wears a bit thin, IMNSHumbleO.  Thought Burrow [among others] looked pretty good though.

The radio broadcasters on the national feed (ESPN?) were terrible - way too hyper. Fortunately, the weather and cloud cover were just right so I was able to pull in a Shreveport station where the LSU announcers were broadcasting the game. That made the game much more enjoyable.
Congrats to the #1 Bayou Bengals!  yes

My only complaint is.... who the hell pick the colors of the LSU championship tees and caps? They looked like the Saints colors. Last time I checked the Saints were in the NFL.
GO TIGERS!!!

Maybe they got a deal, 5B??   One of my daughters has the same birthday [not birth date]  as Elvis.  One year we traveled to her/their place ... we picked up a cake at one of the supermarkets.... had them write "Happy Birthday Elvis"   then stroke out Elvis and write her name underneath [different color icing].  Told her the bakery had said they had an order that didn't get picked up and were able to give us a good deal on it.   wink

Well ....... I was on the losing end of the game, but got to enjoy a 29 game winning streak and winning two of the last four national championships. Congrats to LSU, they were just better. We will be ranked #1 to start next season since we have a lot of players coming back. Best of all Clemson is the only FBS program nationally to finish each of the last four seasons in the top 25 of both polls on the field, and in the top 10 percent of APR scores in the classroom. I think we were third this year behind Duke and Northwestern.

To help ease the pain we defeated #3 Duke in basketball tonight.

One of the things I most in today's football is the lack of humor. People like Alex Karras and John Madden. Announcers make it seem like war, not an athletic event. In an attempt to referee perfect games, the NFL has come up with a procedure the requires long discussions. Maybe referees should just watch those monster TV screens. Everybody is seeing more than the referees.
After a play everybody including players on the field look at that screen.

In last year's draft the Clemson defensive line went early in the draft. I think that hurt them most in that game. I was surprised they went as far as they did. I don't thing Clemson will do what some schools do - shop around in other schools looking for a discontented quarterback. That seems to be the current answer for getting a quarterback.

Congratulations North Dakota State. I like watching teams in Division II. More like a amateur sports event that a NFL audition. Not as many "We will be seeing him him the NFL on sundays".

Right on the money Richard!  Watching ND State is indeed fun, but they do put players in the NFL ...... Carson Wentz to name one ....... just not as many.

You are right about Clemson's defensive line.  I actually think this was Brent Venables best year.  To have the number one defense in the country after losing your entire defensive line and one top back-up, it was incredible what he was able to do.  For most of the year we ran a three-man front and it worked.  Against LSU we ran a three man front, one linebacker and seven safties and cornerbacks ........ worked for about a quarter and a half, but after that nothing was going to work.

I'm proud of our football team's on-field achievements but even more proud of the type of young men they develop into after they leave the program.  I would say as many young men are attracted to our university based on the culture developed within the program as are because of our on-field success.
