Anyone else use one? Any left over cooked veg goes into it, when the bag is full it’s bubble and squeak night chez Rhodes. One of my favourite kinds of recycling !

I have never eaten Bubble and Squeak before, but I am a big fan of using scraps and not wasting stuff, so I have a bag or two of leftover veggies in the freezer.

You’re half way there.  Make sure it’s at least 50% mashed potato to other veg, fry it gently so it gets brown bits on both sides an voila... best served with HP sauce

I always thought bubble and squeak was potatoes and cabbage.... but leftover veggies always make a nice soup or stew.

I may well be Sherry, we just use al of the leftovers, makes it a little bit more interesting - the kids love it when they see ‘the bag’ defrosting on the side so they know it’s bubble and squeak night.

It's a good thing if it gets kids to eat their vegetables.

Q. Whats the difference between broccoli & boogers?

A. Kids don't eat broccoli!

"Bubble and squeak" is a new one for me, so....Google to the rescue once again:   https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/bubble-and-squeak.html      ....An interesting bit from this reference: "Those that do bother to cook might be horrified to know that 'bubble and squeak' is now available in packaged, microwaveable form."

Terry did the cooking & I was on assembly.

Potato pancake, Bearnaise sauce, gouda cheese, sauce, bacon, sauce, poached eggs, sauce, Enjoy!
