Hey Folks,
Many of you know me as having been a hangout member since back in the early 2000s. I retired to my home state of Maine in 2001 and got back into re-purposing old Gibson banjos as I had done in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The hangout members have been very supportive of my work over the years and for that I thank you very much. It has been great to be able to meet so many great people as a result of my passion.

My wife and I recently decided to relocate to a tad better weather and after 4 visits to western North Carolina, we decided to relocate to Hendersonville.  I am still going to keep my hand in re-purposing some of the old Gibson banjos and have actually brought several completed projects with me. I did change my hangout name form Bill-in-ME(for Maine) to Bill-in-NC(North Carolina) not to confuse anyone, but to show a commitment to our new home. I look forward to continuing the work and developing new relationships with the many great folks on the hangout...Bill

if you're going to change your name, you might change it to

"None of those idiots!", and run for public office.

I'll bet all the coins in my noise-making bank that if people see "Nne of those idiots!" as a choice on most any ballot, they WILL mark it.

Anyway, I've got kin in Burnsville, so, I'll check the map, and if I'm heading down South for a visit, maybe we can meet & greet.

And now, a  picture of the bank.

Makes 4 different sounds of flatulence, whenever a coin hits the switch.

Lady friend gave it to me, said "Sweets to the sweet!"

Online map thingy says it's about an hour's drive, her town to yours.

4516 posts since 3/6/2006 are missed in Maine, but I understand why you made the move and no doubt you will love NC. Now the only issue I have is how I'll be able to set the fret wire, and shape and cut the angle of the heel of my next neck project without the use of your tools and expertise!
