I just posted this on a clawhammer TOTW thread, but figured why not, I might post here as well.

Gentleman from Virgina is a really fun jam tune especially on fiddle - though tbh it's a little harder to get it exactly right and rockin' on the banjo.

Read Joshua Guilliard's TOTW thread to find some about the history and the tune's composer, Tommy Hunter (Janetb has added some excellent info as usual).

This particular version I got from the Albemarle Ramblers CD, title is also Gentleman from Virginia (Pete Vigor fiddle, Arnie Naiman banjo). It's a fantastic album; I highly recommend it!
