This is taken from Robbie McCoury's banjo break to this tune written by his brother Ronnie. Most of it is pretty much as Rob played it on the recording but I did stray a bit here and there just feeding off the awesome licks Rob threw into this tune. Rob is one of the few players who can play like Scruggs but make it sound fresh. .Its a fast tune, so you gotta pay attention to the 1/8 slides or hammers and work on those back to back backward rolls .
Thank you Rob for making me play for hours and hours this weekend getting this down!

So good...I love Del and Rob. If I remember, my brothers hired Del 35 years ago to play at my wedding and I got up there and flogged a few licks too :-) Del is one of the very best ever. I love his high Tenor....J p.s. Yep, still married so Del put a good hex on my marriage...Ha Sherry the Mod here got to meet Ellen when we visited Texas. Sherry is a wonderful lady to say the least.

that is so cool Jack. Its a good thing I don't live close to you. Id bug you to no end to hear more stories like that. You've been on the music scene for such a long time and being in New York, were front and center on the bluegrass and folk scene there. Must have been some exciting times back then. I don't know how I have overlooked this mad dog tune for as long as I have. So many tunes, so little time.
