Interesting tailpiece, too.  Did I miss a description of its condition?

Very high quality instrument. Been watching that one and mulling it over. Not really my cup of tea for a banjo, but tempting as it’s so nice.

Was looking that over as the price is very fair. Would be a great instrument for classic banjo, which I don’t play, but an instrument like that might inspire me to try in that direction.

Love the scalloped tension hoop.

Little surprised this didn’t go yet.

Yes, I saw that one too.  It does look like it would make a great classic banjo.

I am fond of British banjos.  I've been alternating my CE Metal Hoop Special, Professional, and Concert Grand all weekend.

Yeah, love the scalloped too.  It is such a nice detail.  It is a shame it is not used more today.

Hey Joel - did you see this banjo for sale on ebay Australia item #143410091028 - a English Dallas but might have been made by L&H or Washburn - interesting tailpiece and scalloped rim - cheers John

Could you post a link?  That number is getting me nowhere even on completed auctions.

I like the decorative element on the hooks and nuts, but at least two of the nuts are replacements.

The banjo has a Clifford Essex look to some of its components.

Thanks Joel. That's a really interesting example from the Dallas workshop. First Dallas i have seen with a Parallel neck, Grover Champion tuners, scalloped tension hoop plus neat tailpiece. Resonator likely a later addition.

Thanks for linkng this one John. Nice banjo.
