Does anyone have the tabs for Gentle on My Mind in the key of G? Thanks?

You might check out the LeWalt Publishing website. It has lots of versions of tunes that aren't available in other tab websites. And they are original sounding versions.

Hans' version might be too advanced for you. I'll post a short version of John Hartford's version this evening later on...It'll be in the tab archives...Nice tune for sure....Jack  p.s. As I recall, Mick G. had a very accurate version of this tune. Maybe he'll chime in....

My tab is really read in G....tks for the heads up though Rick....

Does OP means key of G or G tuning? Jack's tab is an equivalent to G tuning, but tuned down to the key of E. Put a capo on third fret and you are in the key of G. Or tune all strings three steps (frets) higher and you are in the key of G.

I sometimes use alternative G tunings such as gEADE and gDGDE to play in the key of G.

Your tab is in low E tuning in the key of A so playing it in standard G tuning,up 3 half steps, results in C.

Rick,
The important part is to just play the song in G tuning. Don't worry about which key the capo puts you in. Just play the song in G tuning and you're all set. I don't get how you're coming up with the key of C...If I were to tune up 1 and a half steps I would be in G...Jack p.s. try not to worry so much about musical details. Just play the song in the key of G or, in the G tuning....
