My dad had a friend , who was the local milk man when we were little. He eventually died on a milk route one sad day. This truck, is exactly like one my dad purchased from him when he bought a newer model . We drove the snot out of this thing! As we got older, it sorta turned into a traveling opium den . Loved it.

These were the milk wagons we had when we were young.

When you crossed the street, you had to pay attention to more than just the traffic.

I picked up a similar aluminum van that used to be our bread delivery truck at the Port Clyde General Store.I cut a hole in the side and added a shelf for a serving window for my wife's ice cream business in the village.
We put in an old International Harvester freezer and had an instant, successful business for very little investment.

Was it refrigerated or iced.   I remember with disappointment when they changed. the milk man would let us load our fingers with ice on his route. A nice treat when it was mid summer.  He also gave us rides. that was cool!  Brad

If I remember correctly brad, it was refridgerated. It never worked though while we ran it. Had the tall seat in it. Made you feel really big while driving around!
