Well chosen! Victor is amazing.
Saw some videos of the kid a few years ago and wow could he tear it up. And that was then...can only imagine how much better he is now. With this award he's doing something right and obviously worthy of it.
He is an amazing musician, for real.
Here’s a link to a sample of his work. Enjoy!

yep I have been watching him and his sister's progress several years after meeting them at cliff top. Their Dad used to post here as smelly old fat guy..What I noticed about Victor was his'' failure was not an option'' eyes
Seems like a modern day Billy Faier.
Hmmm, is he well known enough to musicians or banjo audiences to have really EARNED the award for advancing the banjo? Or is it based strictly on his musicianship? He's still at Berklee, for instance?
I never heard of him until this award announcement.
Not trying to rain on his parade but instead to check out how well known he already is.
As far as my findings go, he is very well known. And extremely well respected. in my personal opinion, he is probably the one of the most versatile and most musician like players I know. honestly, a few of the winners of the award I have not agreed with but this one, I 100% support. Not that that matters...
