The widow of a friend who died is interested in selling his 1977 RB-800 wreath. Does anybody have an accurate current market price estimate? I'm guessing in the $2500-2700 range. She prefers to sell it locally in the Asheville area.

Your guess may be right.

Here's one that sold this past week for $2,565 plus $125 shipping.

Here's one in not great condition that sold for $2,000 plus $60 shipping in July.

Current sellers seem not to have got the message.

Here's one on eBay right now -- RB800 wreath -- with a starting bid of $4,000. With 2 days to go, still no bidders. $30 shipping.

Here's a flying eagle model, listed at $3,850 Buy it Now or Make Offer. Shipping included.

And here's a hearts and flowers version, offered at $6,532 Buy it Now with $125 shipping. It's from Japan, source of many over-priced 1970s Gibsons.

Based on the actual eBay sales from the past 90 days, I don't think these sellers are going to get anywhere near their asking prices. Your guess looks accurate.

You shouldn't have a problem at $2500. Especially with a good case.
