Um? Can't blame a guy for trying??
What are you playing now? Paul Hawthorne's site Asian banjos indicates that the Nashville brand is a " Gibson copy, mid 70's (one bought new in '78) ebony board, multi ply rim, 2 piece flange flathead." Would think it would have to be a pretty special copy at that asking price. I do like the ad's description.

To me, the banjo appears to be an import. It is not, in my opinion, worth more than $500.
First Quality Music in your home town of Louisville offers some very good American banjos.
They are built in-house by Eric Sullivan.
Sure looks like an Asian "Bottlecap" banjo, very similar to what is currently available NEW for $159 plus shipping.
But, since it was a gift from a family member, the EMOTIONAL attachment makes it worth $3,000!
(To the seller, not necessarily to the buyer.)
Uh. I think it was a joke. If not, a thousand pardons...

Asian Bottlecap Banjo, no tone ring, multiply rim, cheap enclosed guitar style tuners, inlay is probably plastic,......absolutely nothing special about that banjo. Top dollar I would pay would be around $250 including the so-called HS case. The seller claims it's made in the U.S. again I doubt that very much, looks like thousands of identical Asian made banjo's with different branding on the peghead.

The seller is either terribly misinformed or a sleazy scammer.
The listing has been deleted, hopefully nobody got scammed.
