Friend of mine asked if I knew a song- MAYBE by the Beatles, where a girl leaves home for the city, and then RETURNS home.

"She's Leaving home", by the Beatles, is abut a girl who sneaks away and is NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN, so that's NOT it!

It's not a Bluegrass song, but, with 130,000 Outhangers as "Spare Brains" to help remember the answer, all I need is ONE person with the right information.

Since I’m a Canadian, Mike, I immediately thought of this one by our Cree princess from Saskatchewan....

She PICKS, she SINGS, she SLAYS VAMPIRES!

i've passed the info along, to the friend, asking if THAT's the one.

Thank you.

And thank you, Buffy, for a lot of good songs over the years, and the occasional slain vampire.

Anybody else got some songs with similar messages?

I'm sure it's not the song you seek, but vaguely along the same lines...

Turns out she remembered, JUST NOW!

Here's what she has to say about it:
-----------------------

Found it. My bad. It's by the Wolfetones, and the name of the song is Annabell. I found it on Youtube. Not as famous as the Beatles but in my blood every bit as enjoyable. One of my all time favorite Irish groups.

Aha... so we have Buffys and we have wolf tones
“A wolf tone, or simply a "wolf",[1] is a sustaining sympathetic artificial overtone that amplifies and expands the frequencies of a played musical note, and is produced when the original note matches the natural resonant frequency of the body of the musical instrument”

Somewhat “Beatle-esque” , seeing how Liverpool is just a short hop from eastern Ireland. ;-)

Not at all Beatles, but Johnny Cash does, "Ballad of a Teenage Queen."

And new lyrics to an old tune

Lay that pickle down, babe,

Lay that pickle down!

Pickle-packin' Mama,

Lay that pickle down!

mander: That's the song I was trying to think of! A hit during my High School days.
