Look up Daniel Carwile. He and his wife Amy teach fiddle and other instruments. They are both world-class players and very nice folks. They might have some leads for you. Both are on facebook.

Hello,

Grant County has two jams, Friday and Monday. One is hosted by the American Legion and the other at a camp ground. Both host pass-the-mic jams. I have attended the American Legion jam. I have yet to try the camp ground jam.

Close by in Louisville...

Steilberg String Instruments hosts an old-time monthly jam usually on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at their music store at 4029 Bardstown Road in the Buechel section of town. You can call Neal at Steilberg's (502-491-2337) for more information.

A gentleman named David Brooks is the group leader and organizer. They always have a tune of the month as a focus.

Really nice music store if you are ever in the 'ville.
