Hey all,
Can someone tell me what the nut widths are on the Recording King RK-36 and -76 models? I can't find this info anywhere.

I've not played a banjo with a 1 3/16" nut and I'm concerned it is too narrow for my liking.

Thanks Bob.
My Deering neck is a 1.27" nut. Being my first banjo, I thought IT was cramped. Banjos like the Gold Star that I would like to have a model of, with a 1 3/16" nut, almost a whole 1/10" narrower, give me pause.

Granted, I don't have sausage fingers but still..........I need to find something with that nut/neck width that I can test drive.

Then there's the scale length differences. My Deering is a 26 1/4" and the RK-76 is 27 3/8". I have small hands and 4 fret reaches down low on the neck is doable now but I'm not sure about the longer scale length banjos.

After several months of having my Deering and learning the ins and outs of set up, parts nomenclature and how everything interacts, I'm putting more thought into the details of my next banjo.

Still need the spec for the -35/-36 if anyone has it.
