Paul Craft played banjo with JImmy Martin on Drink Up and Go Home. The song was played in C. Did Craft use a capo or did he play it all out of closed positions.
Thanks,
Ken

Sounds to me like he played closed positions - no capo

I would be very surprised if he used a capo for this one other than the spiked 5th string at C. There is a lick right after Jimmy sings "no one to call friend," at the 55 second mark, that is so much easier to play without a capo and Paul is playing out of closed positions (it sounds like it to me) that there is no need for a capo. But, as usual, that is only my opinion. Maybe someone can find a use for a capo in this song.

A lot of those bluesy licks are the so-called “Ocean of Diamonds” licks JD used
