I did a gig with Cynthia Sayer recently and she had a pick holder made of metal. Does anyone know what companies would have made them and where I can find one?
Any photos or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Richelieu made them as well. They show up periodically in the classifieds and in the "flea market" section of the larger vintage instrument dealers. Patience helps a lot...
I would check with some instrument dealers. They may have one stashed away in a drawer somewhere.
Marcy , I recently saw a video by tenor jazz banjo player and BHO member JRay136 where he had something attached to his banjo that piqued my interest..I thought perhaps it was a mute of sorts...now I know what it really was! His appears to be gold....he might know where to find one if you contacted him.
Wild guess, but...
Couldn't a spring clip from the office supply aisle be modified to do a similar job?
This is great!!! Thank you for the pic and advice! I'm playing a lot of tenor and cello banjo these days. A pick holder is a great idea.
I'll try the paper clip soon. HA!!!!!
