"The Manhattan Minstrel" Eddy Davis playing and singing a great old rarely performed tune written by the one and only Irving Berlin. It is a fairly complicated song, which shouldn't surprise me from Irving. It is performed on Davis' Custom OME 12' head - 17 fret neck Tenor Banjo.
It's a SHAME that we don't still do "Tune of the Month" -- This would make a great song for it. Eddy
Great song Eddy. I'll give it a run by the end of the month. I'm Bluegrass mode this week, but I'll return to tenor the week after. Hopefully some cats will jump in on this.
I've been digging your originals on the tube.
Irving Berlin, eh? Has anyone ever worked out a version of 'I Love a Piano' for plucked/strummed strings?
