There are times when a commenter posts a duplicate message and wishes to delete it. (Such things happen from time to time with a slow internet connection or a shaky hand and limited keyboard skills.)

While there was a way to delete a comment some time ago, this option seems to have disappeared. If there is still a way to do this, I'd like to know how. If not, a method should be available.

you can still delete a post within 15 minutes of the original post. Or you can click on "report post" and then click on "duplicate post"

I was a duplicate post and I have deleted it.

Mike is right:  you can edit a post for 15 minutes after you post it.  Then, you can't edit, change or delete.   It's a rule that had to be made several years ago when we had people posting to threads, then changing/editing/deleting posts after they had written some flaming, incorrect or rule breaking information.
