Hi Everyone,

Does anyone has a PDF version of Earl Scruggs’ ‘Pike County Breakdown’?

I really like the TabEdit version of the Monroe recording that is on the BH tabs section, but I am looking for a PDF version that is as close as possible to the version on ‘The Essential Earl Scruggs’ CD (or even on the Flatt and Scruggs Mercury recording).

For me, it’s easier to see a tab on a condensed pdf page, rather than trying to learn it from a large multi page TabEdit.

Thank you for your help.

here's one I did a while back, I think it's pretty accurate and all the breaks are there. It's a four pages long though, but each break is one page. Good luck

That’s very helpful, Mike.

Thank you very much.

Hey Mike...

I really appreciate the time and effort it took you to create the tab, and that you were kind enough to share it.

I hope it works for you. As long as you pick along slowly with the recording, you shouldn't have any problems, but let me know if you do.

Thanks, Man.

If my ear likes a song, I like to learn it by tab, and I use my ear (and memory from recordings) to adjust what I’m playing until it sounds right to my ear.

Then, my ear and repetition help me internalize a tune until I play it by “feel.”

Thanks again.
