I just heard about this the other day!

Bet there's some history down in that hole.

"Discovered" You can see all the trails around it thousands of years old.

Here's another one if you're into spelunking!

To me, saying they're "keeping the location secret" sounds like they're issuing a challenge.

I love visiting caves, these are definitely way out of my league. Really cool.

There will be people "dying" to explore that one.
The opening is gigantic and will require nearly miles of rope that you would have to walk in.
The smart ones will look for the lower entrance = there is one known.
Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
In any case, you won't drive up to the door and jump in.

You can see it on Google Earth when you know where to look.
There are other caves and cave systems here.
Very technical to explore so nobody says much.

We used to go  here. http://www.warsawcaves.com/caves.htmhttp://www.warsawcaves.com/caves.htm

We wore hard hats & coveralls . You have to slide on some wet ice in there.

The acoustics were awesome inside. People thought we worked there !

We'd been before & got really dirty & bashed our heads a few times.

I really like the way that place encourages people to explore and enjoy the cave without making it an exclusive spelunker (sp?) (we call them cavers) place to visit.  We have a lot of caves in the area I live in  but the access is generally a little more difficult due to the geology - having something like that where you can just wander in with minimal kit looks great fun.

There are 6000 caves or Cenotes,as they are called in Mexico on the Yucatan Penninsula. Many are interconnected and people come from all over the world to scuba through them. I snorkel with my grandkids in these caves. Some become above ground tributaries to the ocean with a mix of salt and freshwater fish. Its like snorkeling in an aquarium, except for the crocodiles.
