Not mine, no financial gain from its sale...just posting.

It's a "Banjo-Tam".

I thought Frank Abrams was a BHO member, but I can't find him in the Member Search.

I love the descriptive phrase "Somewhat unique". So vague and yet so meaningless.

"Banjo-Tam"? Shouldn't that be a "banjourine"?

"Shouldn't that be a "banjourine"?"

May have something to do with it.

What I like most about it is the custom strap, won't mention what I like least.

Instruments themselves are not annoying. But people who play them often can be.

Of course Mike Gregory is right. What are the other choices?

Is that at House On the Rock in Wisconsin? If it's not they've got something similar there. Everybody who's ever in the greater Madison area should stop and check that place out. It's wonderfully strange.

Random Youtube video, so I'm not sure.

If you are attracted to this sort of thing the "over the top" stuff can be seen at Ken Caulkins' "Automated Musical Instruments" website.

Where else would Dale Jr. go for his automated musical instrument needs?

A while ago, an old friend of mine passed away. He was retired but had a love for the banjo. I arranged for him tom purchase his one 'real' banjo, A Gibson RB250. He also made banjos out of anything he could get his hands on. The "worst" one he ever made was a 10 string ( 5 pairs). I posted it here a few years ago. It was truely awful sounding but hilariously so. We had a good laugh about it.

Do you shake and rattle while doing your rolls?

rudy I think there is one of these banjo machines at the American Banjo Museum in Oklahoma City too.  Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of it when I was there.  This picture gives a good idea of how impressive the place is.
