"The Manhattan Minstrel" Eddy Davis playing and singing an 1884 song credited to Baker Bradford. Believed to be based on another song called "Down By The River Liv'd A Maiden" by H. S. Thompson 1863. It's in the John Ford film "My Darling Clementine" starring Henry Fonda. Davis plays it on his custom OME 12" head, 17 fret finger board tenor banjo.
I love these old Ballads -- I hope it shows. Eddy
