I just wanted to announce that a new live album is available from my band, Shotgun Jazz Band; Live at the Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall. The Dew Drop is one of (if not THE) nation's oldest jazz venues. It looks to be an old unassuming cypress dance hall on in Mandeville, LA, but it's hosted many traditional jazz legends. SJB has had the honor of playing the Dew Drop on several occasions and one of the last we were lucky enough to get the session recorded. This is the next best thing to being there and is presented kind of warts-and-all.
This is a great album! Love the tune selections, especially the Sam Cooke!
Hey, I listened to a couple of cuts. it sounds great! Fun music!
That's some damn good Jazz John. I can hear your banjo popping through the mix......the way it should be, and I could feel the house. I need to buy this digital and put it on disc, because I'm on the road a lot. Any discs straight up?
will have physical copies sometime this fall!
