The Banjo Hell Boys... also known as The Clifftop Philharmonic Symphony entered the Neo-Traditional Band contest at Clifftop this year. Their original song - Half as Far in Twice the Time - is beautifully performed live, on stage, right here. https://vimeo.com/285099848
Featuring our own Don Borchelt (banjo) and Don Couchie (bass) along with a to-be-named friend.

I spent a lot of my time at Clifftop visiting with Ralph and Charlee Roberts, whose camp was right next to the "Banjo Hell" camp.
I have always liked Don's contribution to BHO discussions, and was glad to have met him, when he stopped by the Robert's camp for a visit.
A friendly guy who knows a whole lot, and isn't afraid to tell you that. Really enjoyed talking with him.
He played one of my frailers, and once he got used to the setup, which differs from what a finger picker is used to, he played it very well. I didn't know it could sound that good.

Really? If I came across as conceited, I apologize.
The guitar player sure looks like Fred Swedberg.
I camped close to these fellers the guitar picker (Tomato Fred) fed me good food and coffee that would put hair on your chest. They made me feel welcome. Had a good talk with Old Pappy.
I guess I didn't express it well, but I meant that as a compliment.
I enjoyed talking with you, and appreciate it when someone speaks their mind without any pretense.
Enjoyed seeing and hearing those grandpas on stage. I actually understood the title not too slowly. Beautiful song!
Would have liked to have met you too. Assuming you watched it in person?
