This is the first one I made out of a cheap mens' belt. The attachments I purchased locally but cannot remember what they are called.

Chicago screws.

I'm a big fan of "Reduce, Recycle, Reuse."  Those are fine straps.

At Home Depot they are called screw posts. The normal term here in the states is Chicago screws as David said.
I don't know if they have a different name in New Zealand.

"Chicago" screw sets are commonly found at most any tack or riding equipment shop with gear for the horse riding enthusiast.

I just had this conversation at work this week. On of my coworkers came into the shop with a broken one, looking for a replacement. I had one, and told him it was called a sex screw. He thought I was kidding him, so I proved it to him by googling pictures on the internet. :)

I'm OK with showing my grandkids the Google Images results for Chicago screws, NOT "sex screws!  wink
