Here's a new one with a variation on the spoons, instead of clipping handle to fit, we just bent it up into another turbine. thanks for taking a look. A wooden rez weighs one pound, spoons weigh 10 oz here. Fun, huh?

It's a beauty! Are the spoons gold plated?
gold plated stainless.
DANG! You do good work!
The neck is Maple with Purple Heart stripe, Ebony top cap. Luthier's Mercantile slotted fingerboard, Rosewood. The customer wanted less bling so 12mm stars in Abalone, 5mm side dots.
Even with the spoons, the weight is still only 8 pounds.
Thanks, these are really fun to do. I bought pre-slotted fingerboards from LMI. The owner is tall, the nut is 1-1/4" wide and guitar jumbo frets #148's. Fire on the Mountain, run, boys, run.
That is a sharp looking banjo.
Thank you for the kind words. I like the Black Walnut rim with a Maple neck, seems to balance real nice.
One more bump, maybe somebody didn't see this.
Looks good, Helix.
I don't know if you are already a member, but there is a group on the hangout specifically dedicated to longnecks:
You should post this banjo and other longnecks you have made on this specialized site.
I'm a member, I should post it where I want.
