It's been about 7 years since we parted ways, but my replica RB4 might be coming home.
It was fun reading over my post when I first got it in 2009:
If you're interested, stay "tuned"...
That's awesome. I recently brought an old friend home also.
Thanks! Yeah, I just read your post...it's a cool thing when it happens, isn't it?!
This will be my 2nd banjo to return home: https://www.banjohangout.org/blog/23837
and even though that one didn't stick., it was a very rewarding tracking it down and getting it back.
I've also been unsuccessful with getting back another banjo after trying a whole lot, but fortunately, I was able to find a twin banjo that completely fit the bill.
Man, there really is no cure for BAS!
Yep it's a vicious cycle.
Hiya, Dan -- good for you! Hope to hear this legendary beastie one of these days!
One of the reasons is that I'd like to one ban set up for Bluegrass (the 4) and one set up for clawhammer (the Ome). Even though my Ome converts back and forth from open back to resonator (bracket shoe flange set up), it'll be convenient not to have to do that every time I'm in the mood to switch styles.
Wow Dan! We follow the same paths sometimes ! Aside from the Ode's, Ome's, I just picked up a replica 37 RB4. I'll get some pics off to you!
Yes, Bill...got your photos...that's a beautiful banjo. The binding is almost like a style 5. How does it sound?
