I really love this link Eddy, and I would never have found it other than your Beautiful New Site.
How would you describe the "New York" sound?
Is it because most every Jazz musician eventually gravitates there? I know Brooklyn is a hot spot for the progressive "bluegrass"/ newgrass/experimental, which I love. Is it just that the creative seem to live there? and can interact with each other? and do you think that solitude can be equally creative?
Funny, I thought most jazz musicians ended up in New Orleans or Los Angeles.
Brooklyn is in there as well John. For cutting edge.
Lotta young modern jazz folks coming to New Orleans, not that many traditional style. Though once they get here seems like a lot of them are doing what they can to hop on tours and gtfo. But I guess there's a lot of work, here, at least at the moment.
Shotgun get out on tour much John? or do you stick pretty close to the city? You all could gig where ever you want I would imagine.
