"The Manhattan Minstrel" Eddy Davis playing a song by Earle Hagen in 1939. It was written as an Instrumental Special for the Ray Noble Orchestra. I played this with the great Trumpeter Billy Butterfield at a Jazz Fest. in Manassas Virginia. Then we played "P. S. I Love You". Davis is playing his Weyman Tenor Lute/Banjo.
There is a great Alto Sax Solo of this by one of my favorite Sax men -- Earl Bostic. Eddy

I love this one Eddy. I laid in down on tenor guitar awhile ago, mostly in single string though. I'll work on the chord melody like yours at some point. Beautiful harmonies.
