Hard to tell without better close-up photos. The 5-sting open back in the red-lined case looks similar to a Clifford Essex that my son owns. Essex banjos are usually marked though.

Welcome back Terry!!! Haven’t seen you in years, glad your ok. Still got that old Alvarez Montana 5 Star? I just rebuilt mine, with a 3 ply pot and no hole archtop tone ring!

That fretless is an odd but tasteful bundle of anachronisms.
I don't think it looks like Barry Sholder's work, or that of anyone else I'm familiar with.

Bottom center and the image to the right of that is a Lyon and Healy.

The one in the red lined case looks very much like a Clifford Essex "Clipper" there should be plate denoting this on the perchpole, the tailpiece looks non original.

Hard to tell without better photos but most of the CE Clipper models i have seen have had a 20 bracket pot Cyril.

Paul may well be correct with Lyon and Healy. Essex did copy a lot Lyon and Healy details.

Whoops! must go to Specsavers, but I did say it looks like, LOL. And I got my models mixed up, the first fret inlay pattern and the peghead Maltese cross, belonged to the early "Popular" models, right I am off to Specsavers!
