That storm is here in New England today. Fortunately for us, it's warm enough that it's raining. Stay safe Glen

Is it good packing?...this year it wasn't good enough to make a snowman or a decent snowball.

Ya old man winter is definately hanging on this spring....no snow here in Seattle....but it’s that lovely cold rain just a few degrees above freezing again that keeps you wet and chilled to the bone all day.

You all get my most sincere sympapthies for these big & late snows.

Snow is gone in my yard. Gardener dude raked up maybe 8 bags of spruce cones and branch tips yesterday.
I am quite surprised that we have dodged all of the recent snowfalls. It keeps snowing up top but nothing in the valley.

The snowpack was 145% of normal on April 01. That's more than 300cm (approx 10') packed in many places.
The BIG MELT is June. Should be worth a drive to look at the side rivers to the Fraser.
You can hear the rocks rolling along the river beds.

Shows to go you, there is beauty in horror.
I love snow so long as it doesn't stay too long. Three days, I'm good. After that, I go a little red rum.

This storm started with rain, freezing rain and sleet then snow and wind. Gusts to 45-55 mph. Depending on where you are there is up to an inch of ice under 12-24" of wet packed snow. Some drifts up to 6'.
Just got in from cleaning up what the loader couldn't get to. 3' drift in front of the garage. She amazes me sometimes, handled the snow blower like a pro. As you know I am down to one wing but I broke up the drifts one armed.
Keep warm and safe

One of my nephews commented that it's kind of like we are having an argument with winter, which stomps out of the room, and we heave a sigh of relief, and it steps back in and says "And one MORE thing......!"

Yeah, snow, freezing rain, and now rain. Then it's eventually rising to +12C by Sunday.

The roads were icy yesterday, so no weekend restaurant outing for us. Today's cycling club ride has been cancelled (not that I'd be going).

Out of 16 days this month we have had rain for 15. Very depressing. I just watched the news and saw trees falling into houses in Ontario. That's really over the top. Unlike the United States we have no place in our own country to hide when our weather gets awful.

I can still hear my Mother..."You better get that laneway shoveled before your Dad gets home!"

Then you just get done & the plow goes by & fills it back in at the road!

The snow turned into 3 inches of rain and high winds here. I tried to take a short cut into the city and had to drive down a flooded road. I came across my friend trying to cut a ditch with his back hoe to drain the road back into the creek.
