anyone ever heard of these?  There's one for sale in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.  They listed it as a tenor.

Made by William Lange.  Check in the archives and google.  A good banjo.

William L. Lange made several different Langstile banjos with different numbers on them. Some are more elaborate than others. I don't think I've seen a Langstile plectrum banjo, but there are a number of tenors still around.

Lange ceased banjo production some time around 1935.

I have owned a Langsytle II plectrum with the adjustable tailpiece. It seemed to play ok.

Definitely a plectrum banjo. From the few poor quality pictures, it looks to be fairly priced, but a closer inspection is needed.

Hello John, That is NOT a Langstyle DELUXE, I have mine for sale on Kevin Scott's Findajo site.

These were made by Wm . L. Lange, as a cheaper range to the Paramounts, along with others.

Cheers Keith

I'd say cautious, not callous. If it actually is as good as it looks, it's a bargain, certainly. I'd prefer better photos, myself, before plunking down my hard-earned cash, though.
