I understand the spelling depends on the origin of the spirit. If it's from Scotland, it's 'Whisky'. If it's from Ireland it's 'Whiskey'.

In the U.S. it is also "whiskey," Harry, whereas we in Canada spell it "whisky." And, Dave, thank you for your comment. Michael
