Notes: This tablature for Foggy Mountain Breakdown is written with both a 2/4 time signature and a 4/4 time signature.
The basic musical phrase that defines the song consists of 16 measures. The first 16 measures of this tablature have a 2/4 time signature and the second 16 measures have a 4/4 time signature. For both time signatures, the arrangement is the same. All 32 measures are played by Tabledit at a rate of 160 beats/minutes.
The purpose of doing this is to demonstrate that tempo is a function of both the beat/minute rate and the time signature, not just the beat/minute rate. When you play the tablature with Tabledit, you can hear the change in tempo, even though the beat/minute rate remains constant throughout all 32 measures.
