Notes: Here is a clawhammer version of the piece Swedish Rhapsody (a.k.a. Midsommarvaka) by Hugo Alfven. The original version is an orchestral work presented as a "Rhapsody" (A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations). The original orchestral work takes about 13 minutes, and contains both key changes and time changes, and is built up of fragments from 7 traditional Swedish songs. I made an own old-timey version as a four part OT tune with some key changes.
