Notes: This tab is a supplement to my YouTube video, "The Modal Versatility of the Double C tuning" (https://youtu.be/ZozqXWiy_lU). It shows scales for the Ionian (major), Mixolydian, Dorian, and Aeolian (minor) modes in the key of C, as played in the Double C tuning. Each scale starts on the open 4th strong (low C) and moves through two octaves, across all four strings, up to the 10th fret of the 1st string (high C). The modes are arranged to show how the scale is modified from each proceeding scale (a down-pointing arrow indicates how a fret position is changed from one mode to another (e.g. the C mixolydian scale is produced by flattening the 7th note of the C major scale).
