Notes: Omer Forster's haunting tune "Flowery Girls" has been an all time favorite of mine ever since I first had the pleasure of listening to it. This is my attempt at a note for note transcription of the original 2-finger version from his 1977 recording, created with a little help from the "Amazing Slow Downer" app, and with the goal of tabbing out each and every note on the original recording. Omer’s creative use of open strings that became apparent in the process, especially in the up the neck parts, further deepened my admiration for this unique piece. The left hand positions in the up the neck parts are my suggestion based on what makes the most sense and what feels the most natural to play to me. Omer Forster played the tune on a resonator banjo and I think that's the way to go here, but the tune is so pretty it sounds good on an open back too. The tuning on the recording is standard G tuned down to F#. Enjoy, and feedback is welcome!
