Notes: My transcription of how Earl Scruggs plays this fiddle-tune on "Foggy Mountain Banjo". This tab differs enough from the transcription in Earl Scruggs' book not be an infringement of copyrighted material. Especially, in the book the 1st downbeat starts on the 5th note, in my transcription on the 9th note (1st note 3rd measure), giving the feel as if the whole song is shifted 1/2 measure, that is really the magic of this tune. Also, it has the advantage that the B part UTN (12th fret position) starts on the downbeat of a measure, not halfway through a measure, as it is transcribed in the book. (with minor review for easier playing the DTN part)
