I don't think many people use Powertab, maybe you should include a PDF and/or use TablEdit if you want people to use it.

Good point, thanks. I'm used to Powertab and don't like TablEdit so much. The tab is useful for the fingering.

Found a way to convert powertab directly to pdf with both the notes and the tab.

A few suggestions...there is a comment section when you edit your post where you can explain the song or tune you have uploaded that may help people who are unfamiliar with the music you are tabbing. You can include a link to the song as a reference or at least let us know who the artist is. Another thing, it is very difficult to use your tab because you are using standard notation with the tab and we can't see how long the notes are without looking away from the tab...so you go one note at a time and it's difficult to play through your tab. For the banjo there is no need for standard notation if you are using tab, the tab tells you the note you are playing and where on the neck to play it....most tabs have beams and flags so we can see the durations. I'm not trying to discourage you or tell you what to do, I am trying to help you make your tabs easy for most people to check out and hopefully use. So please give us an explanation of the tune(s) you post unless they are very popular and try to make it easier for us to read the tab, we're banjo pickers, not brain surgeons.

The "artist" is me. Uploading the tunes make me feel that they are somewhere safe... Maybe someone will like them, maybe no one will notice. I'm used to using PTE and did not notice that the tab lack the duration marks. I also use ABC notation so I can try and look for a way to convert abc to real tab notation.

Some day I will manage to record the tunes and upload a mp3 file. I'm not a very good player so I have to practice a lot before I can do it.

Will ASCII format be helpfull?

No, I wouldn't worry about it. Since no one has ever heard of these tunes, they probably won't play them. Maybe you can put in the notes that they are your original compositions.
