I liked it too, you don't hear too many whistle and snapping solos these days.

Thank you so much for this amazing bit of work! We had a banjo hanging on our wall in our living room for more than 10 years by now, I never actually played it, found the song on youtube, sesarched for some bits of information (how to tune a banjo, picking infos eg.), found this tab and haven´t stopped working my way through the song since! Without the tabs I would have been lost with hardly any knowledge about the banjo to begin with, after a day and night of practise together with my husband playing an acustic bass we´ve even managed to impress our kids with our good results : ) Thank you!
P.S. I was wondering though whether the Cm in the top line wouldn´t need a 2 on the Bb string to be a Cm? Both sound good anyway : )

Great catch Liz...I have changed it on the score now...you can reprint it with the correct fingering of that chord. Thanks. I am so happy that you started playing that banjo, I hope your interest lasts for the rest of your life, will be a great hobby to do with your husband, and it might inspire the kids.

This is a really good rendition of the song!! As far as I can tell, it's exact. I started working on the song and then ran into this tab. Thank goodness! I was having a tough time figuring out how the banjo was getting some of the sounds. I did change some minor things in your tab, just to make it a little easier for me and my arthritis. I also play it in standard G tuning. I don't find it any harder, and it makes it easier for me to move around on the neck to innovate some up-the-neck playing if I want. I know the original doesn't do that, but it sounds pretty good to add some higher notes in a few spots. Thanks for doing the hard work!!
