Notes: "Michael Ferrie wrote this tune after watching the family’s new kitten playing in the garden. The kitten bravely decided to tackle a large skorie (Herring Gull) and jumped on it’s back. The skorie not much impressed, took flight with the kitten aboard. Luckily for the kitten it managed to escape but not until the bird had flown several hundred yards down the field." Notes from the album Da Farder Ben Da Welcomer" by Fiddler’s Bid.
I played it here on two banjos - Goldtone cello banjo and Ramsey standard.
Here's a beautiful version of this tune by Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE6HqAQehTE
