Notes: This is my melodic arrangement of a lovely tune by Russ Barenberg, which has recently been the theme tune for "The Transatlantic Sessions". It's a transcription of Russ Barenberg's initial guitar break, but due to the limited range of the banjo, it has to be played an octave higher. It's a trifle tricky in places and I have put the right hand fingering in the places where I feel one might struggle. This arrangement uses all of the neck, reaching the 19th fret in the B part. Very satisfying when it starts to flow! This tune is gaining a lot of popularity in the West Country (Devon & Cornwall) so let's get it out to the world to widen its appeal! Have fun! PS, it's in D and don't forget to spike the 5th to A!

Great tune, but even with 5th string capoed to A the 5th string should be fretted at the 12th and 16th instead of 10th and 14th (unless my hearing or my banjo is knackered).

In reply to Banjowen: The tab I just downloaded shows Sagar fretting the 12th & 16th frets for the 5th string. I don't see anything in the tab showing the 10th & 14th being fretted. ???

In reply to icland, on my Kindle the tab is correct but on my PC it shows and prints out 10 and 14, I guess like myself my PC is Knackered....

Banjowen, you need to go into TablEdit settings on your PC, hit the "advanced" tab and then "others" (bottom right) and check "Banjo 5th string capo impacts notation" and it should then come out right, if you're running the latest version.
