Maid Behind the Bar

Genre: Fiddle/Celtic/Irish  Key: D  Tuning: Standard Open G (gDGBD)  Difficulty: Intermediate
Posted by AllanJ, updated: 9/3/2015
Download: TABLEDIT

Notes: The A part is quite easy, but the B part I found tricky - getting the high 'b' and keeping the pedal going. I've tried to arrange the B part to make the left-hand fretting as efficient as possible so that it can be played at 'session speed'! I shift (left hand) position on the open strings at the last beat of the 1st bar, after first beat of 2nd bar, last beat of 2nd bar, 2nd beat of third bar (going to a half bar on the 9th fret) etc.

Okay, quickly, you can go for the b-note on the fourth fret for more evenness of tone and to tighten up a triplet, or a stuttered triplet, if you want to do that as a variation. Great tab!

Thanks for that. I never heard of Tabledit and couldn't open it at first. So thanks for the sheet music and the program info.
